Hey HEY HEY!!!!
So apparently we haven't updated in a while, so this past meeting, tuesday, we attempted to finish up designs and began to schedule welding times for this weekend so we can work on our model bridge. This Saturday, we are going to be welding in the structures lab from 10-4, and then again on Sunday as well. We are trying to get all the equipment set up by friday so we can hop straight to welding saturday. So come out, weld, bond with your fellow steel bridge-ers and have fun!!!! YAY!!!! ok... hope you all had a good thanksgiving and good luck getting ready for finals!

Meeting 11/13
Today's meeting was a little earlier than usual, 7:00pm in AIRB 2030. How does everyone like the time? I think we'll be having meetings earlier from now on. So, turns out we have a mystery girl, Bevelyn who came out to the meeting last week. Sadly, it was the only week that we didn't ask for everyone's phone number/email. But, Bevelyn, if you are out there reading this, please contact ucisteelbridge@Gmail.com ASAP. We gave away your welding class spot since it was an in demand spot and you hadn't paid. But, Monday 11/18 is all free! That goes for the rest of you who haven't signed up for classes either.
Anyway, today we didn't have much to tell you guys. So it was mostly just time for us to meet with our design teams. Some of us went over to EG 3151 for Solid Works, the rest of us stayed in AIRB 2030 with AutoCAD. The End.
We also sent out an email with a spreadsheet with who is signed up for what day. ET 141 for welding classes!

Meeting 11/6/07
Hey All,
Bridge meeting today was, urr... rather short (YAY!!!). First we started off with DUES (BOO!!!), however, if you HAVEN'T paid dues yet, and we know who you are! then you need to pay BEFORE you do the welding class, as well as take the safety class and watch the welding videos (to be posted later because the site is down). GET THAT STUFF DONE!!!
Next, we voted on what to get... polo shirts!!! YAY!!! and next week we will vote on colors! (if you want any of the other stuff separately, i.e. shirt, sweatshirt, contact us at UCISteelBridge@gmail.com and we can make arrangements, next week we will have a price list of all this next week.)
We THEN discussed where each design team is at and all of that good stuff.
SO REMEMBER! Safety Class, Dues, and Welding Videos!

Please watch the welding videos and complete the online safety training by our next meeting, Tuesday, November 1.
SAFETY TRAINING ONLINE:
1) Go to http://www.ted.uci.edu/
- Log in using your uci id and password
2) Enter jmmccart@uci.edu as your supervisor/pi email
3) Select the link: Required training
4) Check: Academic, Technical, Sheet Metal Work, Shop Equipment, and Welding Equipment to describe the nature of the work.
5) Choose Core Safety
6) Select Take Course to begin training.
7) Once you've completed the training, let us know by emailing ucisteelbridge@Gmail.com
